Watch the controversial MMK episode Manika
Angel Aquino was once an ideal mother in this formerly rated x episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya. But when her husband died she got depressed. She did bad things to her eldest daughter which no mother would do.
Like helping her new partner rape her daughter while she was watching. The daughter got relief from her gay uncle which eventually took her to the care of nuns. She (daughter)got justice when the rapist (angel aquino's live in partner) was caught and sentenced to life in prison. Meanwhile, as of this writing the mother is still at large.
MTRCB has rated this episode x and made it not suitable for television, they however changed the rating to SPG (strong parental guidance) and we were able to watch it under the episode entitled Manika an MMK june 30, episode.

It's a very sad reality that there really are people who don't realize or don't even care to consider the after effects of their actions just to satisfy their selfish desires. The younger the victim is, the greater the trauma and the harder it is to forget and recover from it. I can relate with the girl's experienced of being harassed by someone whom she thought she could trust but not with the latter part when she was abused by her stepfather as well as her own mother.
It surely is possible to forgive. But forgiving doesn't ensure forgetting. It's my prayer then that she may handle positively the after effects or the memory of it that will surely hunt her from time to time.
